Regarding Aldous Huxley's THE DOORS OF PERCEPTION & HEAVEN AND HELL

These two essays - THE DOORS OF PERCEPTION & HEAVEN AND HELL - show Huxley as one whose interest in Far Eastern religion was tempered by a Western penchant for pharmaceuticals, not least in respect of certain experiments with LSD and mescaline. In this respect, despite a certain ethnic vulnerability to the more primitive aspects of Eastern religion, he proved himself smarter than Carl Jung. Johulin (John O'Loughlin) has coupled these essays to an original project entitled MAXED UP, which is a compilation of his aphoristic work of the early '90s - some eight books of maxims.
