Regarding THE MYTH OF EQUALITY & FREEDOM AND DETERMINISM

THE MYTH OF EQUALITY by John O'Loughlin is as far removed from any humanistic reductionism, even in relation to bourgeois/proletarian antagonisms, as one could possibly be, since its perspective is much wider and deeper, as is its sense of the distinction between sin and grace on the one hand, and crime and punishment on the other, and how these factor-in to opposite forms of culture and civilization. For those who like a continuity from one text to another, this 2001 project has been supplemented with FREEDOM AND DETERMINISM, which continues to investigate the distinctions between nature and psyche on both sensual and sensible terms, thereby bringing a more comprehensively exacting perspective to bear on each.
